Typical
products
The strength of KNX is that there is a huge variety of products to choose
from. Some products are unique but you can also find similarities between
certain types of products. Here is a summary of common products and typical
characteristics and sizes. Common types of products.
Common types of products
System Products
Power supply:
Supply line with bus voltage, usually have built-in choke

Dimming loads, usually universal (R/L/C)
Actuator 1-10 V:
Dimming loads with ballast for 1-10V, eg. a fluorescent pipe or LED-converter
Shutter actuator:
Controls shutters/blinds with or without slats
Heating actuator:
Control valves for radiators, under floor heating etc
Sensors
Pushbutton:
De-bounce function, divided into rockers where one rocker consist of two
buttons
Motion sensor:
Wall or ceiling mounted
Binary input:
Takes separate signals from eg. alarm systems to KNX, often potential
free
